FOR THE 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR

QUALIFICATIONS:

  1. Holds High School diploma
  2. Has met health requirements as specified in district personnel policy.
  3. Meets the requirements of a criminal record check as specified by Kentucky state law.
  4. Preferred experience in a school setting.

 

JOB GOAL:

To coordinate the implementation of learning center activities on a daily basis at the assigned elementary school by providing comprehensive coordination between the school, students, families, district, contracted service providers and participating learning center partners.

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  1. Coordinate and supervise daily after-school homework assistance and enrichment activities through collaboration with teachers, school leadership, county extension service, and other school program coordinators, including but not limited to Adult Education.
  2. Maintain program, student assessment, and budgetary records as appropriate.
  3. Provide a consistent and safe learning environment for community learning center staff, students, and families by communication and monitoring all relevant school and district policies.
  4. Maintain current knowledge of program rules, regulations, requirements, and procedures.
  5. Analyze situations accurately and make informed decisions based on the needs of students, families and staff.
  6. Promote the community learning center program and recruit students and parents to actively participate.
  7. Engage in regular planning and coordination of services.
  8. Comply with policies, rules, and regulations of the school district and state or federal regulatory agencies as applicable.
  9. Demonstrate consistency in punctuality, attendance, and completion of duties.
  10. Monitor daily pick up students, including implementation of adopted safety procedures and protocols.
  11. Attend required trainings and implement training initiatives as appropriate.
  12. Ensure a well-maintained learning environment for students through coordination with the school custodial staff and administration.
  13. Conduct ongoing evaluation of program satisfaction and impact through frequent communication with teachers, students, staff, parents, and administration.
  14. Perform other duties consistent with the position as assigned by the project director.
